FOR ALL OF US

Black men, women and their families have been facing social injustices head on — but the fight to make things right isn’t only for the advancement of our black communities but FOR ALL OF US.

It is important that we understand that Black Lives Matters and so, All Lives Matter – because, LIFE matters.

We must work to rid the system of institutionalized oppression, social injustice and we must disarm and disavow white supremacist.

That requires that we each strive and care to make better choices with the understanding that it is our duty to march and to create opportunity and we do this by contributing goodness to society.

We are not slaves – we just live with a slave mentality. And we offend the memory and works of the folks who were actual slaves and fought their way to their freedoms. And we must understand that our white neighbors, brothers, sisters and co-workers aren’t slave masters nor do they own slaves.

It takes a Village, a people to bring about the tangible changes that we need in America. It takes the solidarity of human beings to overcome racisms. No, we cannot change what anyone feels or believes inside but we can reach a point in which anyone intending to discriminate against another human being has no power, no reach, no impact.

I love people and I know many people and I’ve learned that the majority of America is not racist. Most people make their determinations of the persons standing in front of them based on interaction, engagement, service and character.

I am an advocate FOR ALL OF US!
